Why we do this together
Our roots go back further than the company.
Daniel Dykeman, Dakota Howder, and Josh Oh have been friends for 15 years. We went to Ryan High School together and have worked together through multiple ventures. We entered the roofing industry in 2022 and have been learning and growing together ever since.
Forest Ridge is a young company built on those relationships and that experience. Daniel founded the business, and the three of us share in the decisions and day-to-day work that move it forward.
A better experience starts with clear answers.
We saw homeowners facing major roofing decisions without always understanding the recommendations, costs, or next steps. We wanted to build a company where those conversations happen up front.
For us, transparency is practical: show the photos, explain the recommendation, talk through the cost, and discuss changes before doing extra work. If something doesn’t make sense, ask. You shouldn’t need to know roofing terminology to understand your own project.

Dakota brings an analytical approach to planning and client relationships. Daniel connects the systems and strategy behind the business. Josh brings hands-on drive and practical problem solving in the field. These focus areas help us coordinate; we all contribute across the business.
